Some swift skating by Jack Hughes saved an open-net goal in the field minute as he chased down a Jim Lovitt roller, poking the puck away just a few feet in front of the Harvard cage.

Then, as the crowd counted off the final seconds with Brown skating the puck toward the open Harvard net, the Crimson got a final chance. The officials declared play had stopped with five seconds remaining as the Brown net was knocked off its hinges.
