After a winter of dazzling success in alien waters. Radcliffe swimmers kept the competitive spirit alight in the annual interhouse Championship Swim Meet.

Yesterday's meet was as exciting as any of the swim events this year as the crack swimmers are well distributed among the three Houses. With two events to go, East House led with one point over North House's 53, and South House had virtually conceded with 35 points.

The penultimate race, the 40-yard breast stroke, was carried off by North House for a 61-58 lead over the Orientals. The water sprackeled with tension for the final 80-yard free-style as East House nosed ahead to victory by a bare stroke.

Stars of the pool were Janet Wright and Ginny Storrs, who won two events each: Miss Wright the 40-yard Freestyle and 40-yard Breaststroke, and Miss Storrs he 20-yard Butterfly and the Individual Medley. Both girls were also anchor legs in the Freestyle Relay.

Eleanor Thomas, swim team captain, confirmed the sterling quality of the Radcliffe team by breaking the pool and college record in the 40-yard butterfly. Miss Thomas fluttered over the distance in 23.4 to beat the old record of 23.9 held by Phyliss Hess of Mt. Holyoke.
