Cabot 'Cliffies splashed their way to a shaky lead yesterday in the Radcliffe Swim Marathon being held at the college pool.
Only 80 laps behind Cabot's total of 1950, Moors took a substantial hold on second place. The Commuters trailed in third with 1200 laps to their credit. Other dorm totals ranged all the way down to Holmes' low of 79 laps.
The winner of the marathon, held each fall and spring by the Radcliffe Athletic Association, receives 30 points toward possession of the Intramural Cup, won last year by Barnard-Bertram. Dorms in second and third place receive 20 and 10 points, respectively, toward the cup.
Participation in the event is encouraged by awarding each dorm one point for every dorm member who swims in the marathon.
Points toward the cup are awarded to winners of various events throughout the year.
