Eliot House virtually clinched the House soccer title by outscrambling second-place Dunster, 1 to 0, in one of the season's best-played contests yesterday.
Aided by a 35-mile per hour tail-wind, right inside Charlie Polletti headed in a corner kick with only four minutes left to play. Dunster pressed hard during the first half, but could not break through the powerful Eliot defense. With only three games left in the season, Eliot appears a sure bet for the title.
Despite an overtime period, Adams House and Kirkland House battled to a 1-1 tie. Bob Crook tallied for the Adams squad, and the point for Kirkland was scored after a scramble in front of the nets.
