Crimson Ruggers Rate Slight Edge In Match With Tigers Here Today

The Crimson rugby team will be back at something approaching full strength this morning when it faces Princeton at 10:30 on the House football field.

Most of the casualties from earlier games have recovered, and were it not for Saturday morning exams in the Business School, the ruggers would be definite favorites to even their season's record at two and two. Princeton has not yet played this fall.

The main Crimson weakness today, as usual, will be in the scrum, which is sadly short of both height and weight. The absence of Mike Nightingale and Jim Cooper in the exam room leaves seniors Geoff Locke and Bill Gill as the only tall line-out forwards, and there is a distinct lack of 200-pounders.

Dave Steinberg and Ash Hallett are the other two returning veterans of last years' team, although freshmen Roy Jakeman, Warren Young, and converted wing Langi Kavaliku have all played overseas.

Jim Damis and Captain Alan Waddell, the two outstanding halfbacks, are both available again today, as is center HalChurchill, and their return should do something to rectify last week's lack of tackling.

Rounding out the three-line will be Barry Churchill, Dave Holmes, and Ricky Carey.
