Varsity Meets Brown Today

Recent Injuries Hurt Chances For Victory

If quarterback Ron Johanson can succeed in opening up the Brown defenses with an effective air attack in the early stages of the game, Boulris and Halaby might later on be inserted in the lineup with considerable effect. But this depends, too, on what the doctors say.

In play yesterday, the freshman football team routed Brown 39-0 at Providence. Sparked by the quarterbacking of Charlie Ravenel, who ran one touch-down himself and passed to Jerry Sullivan for another, the Yardlings completely dominated play.

The first time they had the ball, halfback Larry Repsher dashed 60 yards for the first touchdown. Frank Crossons scored two and Wink Pescosolido one. Coach Lamar started the second string in the second half, since the Yardlings were leading 21-0 at that point.
