Varsity Practices Attack for Tigers

Stan Britton Replaces End Fred Ravreby In Starting Lineup

Stanley Britton, six-foot, three-inch sophomore right end from Lynn, moved up to the first string yesterday as the varsity football team got ready to engage the Princeton single wing powerhouse Saturday. Britton, freshman captain last fall, replaced Fred Ravreby on the basis of his play against Holy Cross.

Yesterday's workout was devoted entirely to offense, and Coach Lloyd Jordan had his team running its single-wing around and air attack against dummies. Other than Britton, there were no significant shakeups in the first airing.

Jordan stated that he does not plan to install any new cycles of plays for Princeton. Rather, he will concentrate on perfecting the present series.

As far as injuries go, the team may very well go into Palmer Stadium at full strength, except for Dusty Burke. Dike Hyde tested his ankle yesterday, running with hardly any limp, and will probably be ready Saturday. Paul O'Brien, who suffered a mild concussion against the Crusaders, will not scrimmage this week but is expected to see action at Princeton. Buddy Lemay took over at center yesterday, O'Brien taking signal drills with the third team.
