Hans Estin had a field day yesterday afternoon as the lacrosse team won an easy 12 to 5 game from Tufts at Medford.

This is not to say that Estin ran wild--he didn't really run at all, and he scored only one goal. But he did prove that even when hobbling around on a badly hurt ankle he is the heart of the team.

Stationed in his commanding position behind the cage, as feeder, he ran the offense for the team, passing to six assists, in addition to scoring his one goal.

Estin also provided the dramatic highspot of the game by having a fist-fight with the defenseman who was assigned to guard him. Both were given two-minute penalties for "unnecessary roughness."

The first five goals were tossed in by midfielders, who scored seven out of the total of 12. It wasn't until the third quarter that the close attack really began to function.

But then it wasn't until the third period that the Tufts team scored its first goal. By this time, the Crimson defense had begun to relax and two out of Tufts five goals were scored on an almost undefended Sid Clark in the goal.
