Dr. Floyd W. Reeves, of Washington, D. C., Director of the American Youth Commission of the American Council on Education, has been appointed Inglis Lecturer at the Graduate School of Education, for the current year, the University announced today. He will deliver the annual Inglis Lecture on some problem in the field of secondary education, in the Fogg Museum, on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 8 o'clock.

Dr. Reeves, who is Professor of Administration in the Departments of Education and Political Science at the University of Chicago, has served as a consultant to the federal government for many years on problems of education, personnel, and management.

He has served as Director of Personnel, and Director of the Social and Economic Planning Division of the T. V. A.; member of the President's Committee on Administrative Management, head of the report on Personnel Administrative Management, head of the report on Personnel Administration in the Federal Service, Chairman of the President's Advisory Committee on Education, Member of the President's Advisory Committee on Selective Service, Consultant to the National Resources Planning Board, and Director of Labor Supply and Training in the Advisory Commission to the Council of National Defense, and in the Office of Production Management.

He has written extensively on various aspects of education, and is a recognized authority on the problems of children and youth.
