8:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m.: First term bill of $110 payable at Harvard Trust Company, Harvard Square.
8:45 a.m.: Daily service in the University Memorial Chapel, conducted by the Reverened Willard Learoyd Sperry.
10-12 a.m.: Examinations in Reading French and Reading German, New Lecture Hall.
11 a.m.-1 p.m.; 2 p.m.-4 p.m.: Conferences with Faculty Advisers.
1-4 p.m.: Scholastic Aptitude Test, Emerson D. Required for those new students, including new transfer students, who have not already taken the Scholastic Aptitude Test of the College Entrance Examination Board.
2-3:15 p.m.: Mathematics Attainment Test, New Lecture Hall. Required of those new students, including new transfer students, who have not taken the Mathematics Attainment Test or an equivalent (Mathematics Beta or Gamma). Such students will receive in their registration envelopes a notice that they must take this test. Special arrangements will be made for students who must also take the Scholastic Aptitude Test.
4 p.m.: Preliminary meeting of English A, New Lecture Hall.
2-3 p.m.: Reading Tests: A-Greenspan, inclusive, New Lecture Hall; Grenier-Li, inclusive, Emerson D; Lo-N inclusive, Emerson 211; O-Se, inclusive, Geological Lecture Room; Sh-Z, inclusive, Fogg Large Room. Attendance required of all new students, including new transfers.
5:30-7 p.m.: Registration period for Widener Library tours, Harvard Union.
7:45 p.m.: Meeting of new students in the Large Dining Hall of the Harvard Union. Speakers: William J. Bingham, Director of Athletics; Douglas Mercer, Secretary of the Union; C.E. Boston, Jr., Freshman Football Coach, and Francis M. Lee '41, Captain of the Football Team.
4-5 p.m.: Latest hour for new Freshmen to file study cards without $5 fine.
7:30 p.m.: Annual Reception of Phillips House Association to new students, including new transfer students, Phillips Brooks House. Speakers: leaders of various undergraduate extra-curricular activities. Music and refreshments.
