12-1:30 p.m.: Registration period for Widener Library tours, Harvard Union. Tours will be conducted on Saturday afternoon, September 21, and on Monday, September 23, and Tuesday, September 24. The purpose of these tours is to introduce the new students to the Harvard Library. The tours will take approximately fifty minutes each.
2-4 p.m.: Examination in Reading French and Reading German, New Lecture Hall.
5:30-7 p.m.: Registration period for Widener Library tours, Harvard Union.
8 p.m.: Meeting of new students in the Large Dining Hall of the Harvard Union. Speakers: Mr. William J. Bingham, Director of Athletics; and others.
September 22, Sunday
11 a.m.: Special service for new students in the University Memorial Chapel.
4 p.m.: Open House for Freshmen, Phillips Brooks, House. Refreshments.
September 23, Monday
8:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m.: First term bill of $110 payable at Harvard Trust Company, Harvard Square.
8:45 a.m.: Daily service in University Memorial Chapel.
11 a.m.-1 p.m.; 2 p.m.-4 p.m.: Conferences with Faculty Advisers.
11 a.m.: Preliminary meeting of English 1 for new students, Emerson D.
1-4 p.m.: Scholastic Aptitude Test, Emerson D. Required for those new students who have not already taken the Scholastic Aptitude Test of the College Entrance Examination Board.
2-3:15 p.m.: Mathematical Aptitude Test, New Lecture Hall. Students who have not taken the Mathematical Aptitude Test or an equivalent (Mathematics, Beta or Gamma), will receive in their registration envelopes a request that they take this test. Special arrangements will be made for such students who must also take the Scholastic Aptitude Test.
4 p.m.: Preliminary meeting of English A, New Lecture Hall.
