Bulwarked by the presence of a number of veterans, including six returning lettermen from last year's squad, Coach Rene Perey's fencing team has begun practice for a rigorous schedule which opens in February.

Captain-Elect Ames Murphy and Tom Wright, both ineligible last season, are expected to add strength to a well-balanced aggregation, which features no individual stars, but possesses enough all around ability to make it a serious contender for championship honors.

Art Jaros and Ben Johnson, in foils competition; Paul Little field and Lynn Brown, in Epce; and Win Alberts and Robert Batt, in Sabers, are the returning members of last year's team.
