First Inning

YALE--Holt fouled to Lupien. Besse fanned. Wood grounded out. No hits, no runs.

HARVARD--Johns was called out on strikes. Gannett singled, stole second, and counted on Grondahl's ringing triple to deep right center. This drove Joe Wood out of the box and Dud Humphrey, his successor, walked Lupien, but forced Hoye to pop out and got Tully on a grounder, first-baseman unassisted. Two hits, one run.

Seventh Inning

YALE--Schroeder looked at a third strike. Humphrey singled to center, but Loveday hit into a snappy twin kill, short to second to first. One hit, no runs.

HARVARD--Fulton got all the way to second when Wood dropped his liner. Keyes flied to center. Healey dropped a Texas leaguer over third base. Johns and Gannett flied out. One hit, no runs, one error.

Eighth Inning

YALE--Alter flied to center. Collins lined out to Hoye in left. Hazen tripled to left center, and Holt lined to Gannett. One hit, no runs.

HARVARD--Grondahl struck out. Lupien singled to right. Lupien stole second and went to third on Schroeder's wild heave. Hoye sent Lupien across with a single to right. Tully and Fulton flied out. Two hits, one run, one error.

YALE--Besse was out, Keyes to Lupien. Wood lined to Gannett. Schroeder flied to Gannett. No runs, no hits.
