"If any men feel that they can subscribe additional money, their contributions will be very gratefully received. If there are any people who have not subscribed any money as yet, they are asked to send as much as they can afford."
Where Money Goes
Below are listed the ways in which the money will be spent:
1. Local Cambridge charities are supported.
2. The Student Council supports Phillips Brooks House with a large donation.
3. The Student Council guarantees the financial success of all Freshman activities, such as dances, the Red Book, etc. A donation is made of over $300 to defray expenses of the annual Freshman smoker.
4. The Student Council gives scholarships or aids to needy students who are not eligible for aid from the University. With the help of these scholarships many men have been able to complete their education at Harvard who other wise would have had to leave because of an unbalanced budget.
5. The Student Council defrays the expense of all Class elections, Album elections, etc.
6. The Student Council takes care of any other expenses incurred in the interest of the undergraduate body
