Jayvee Baseball Men Trounce Bryant and Stratton 9 to 8
Coming from behind, the Harvard Jayvee baseball team won from Bryant and Stratton Saturday 9 to 8, on Soldiers Field.
The box-score: Golf Team Beats In its first intercollegiate match this season, the Harvard golf team easily defeated Holy Cross, taking all but one match Saturday at Belmont Springs to finish with a score of 8 to 1. Doyle of Holy Cross downed R. L. Kimbrough '33 1 up to take the singles point for the Crusaders. Twosomes--Phillips Finlay '31 defeated Earle (HC), 4 and 3; C. S. Eaton '32 defeated Baldwin (HC), 4 and 3; Doyle (HC) defeated R. L. Kimbrough '33 1 up; W. B. Arnold, Jr. '31 defeated Fay (HC), 4 and 3; J. B. Baldwin '31 defeated Collins (HC), 4 and 3; M. A. Heath '33 defeated Hickey (HC), 4 and 3. Netmen Blank Cornell 9 to 0 Harvard's netmen blanked another opponent Saturday at the Divinity Courts when they easily defeated the Cornell tennis team by a 9 to 0 score. For the fourth time in their series of eight consecutive wins this season, the Crimson players hold their adversaries to a scoreless meet. All the single and two of the three double matches Saturday were taken in the first two sets. Captain M. T. Andover Beats 1934 Lacrosse Team Playing a weak game defensively, the first year stickmen went down to a 4 to 2 defeat before the Andover lacrosse team last Saturday at Andover.
