Another "Lecture Course in Religion" will be given next year by the Phillips Brooks House Association, it was announced yesterday by W. A. Shimer 3G., secretary of the committee in charge of the course. Already a tentative program of 20 lectures has been drawn up and approved, but as yet the list of speakers has not been definitely decided upon.
The principal matters for consideration in continuing the course of lectures were taken up at a meeting of the joint committee at the Phillips Brooks House on Tuesday evening. The problem of subjects was first taken up and a list of 20 was arranged. Among the various titles are such subjects as: "Ethics and Religion--Is Religion More Inclusive?"; "Non Killing', Pacifism, War"; "Internationalism and Religion"; and "Personal Religion". Additional subjects may still be added, and the committee will welcome any suggestions from members of the university. It was also agreed at this meeting, to make efforts to collect the series of lectures next year and publish them in book form.
The committee in charge of the lecture course is composed of both graduate and undergraduate members of the University. E. D. Hutchinson 2G., is chairman, and assisting him are; D. V. Steere 2G., Reuel Olson 2G., M. A. Cheek '26, D. C. Gates '26 H. H. MacCubbin '26, and W. A. Shimer, secretary. The committee is particularly anxious to receive criticisms and comments of this year's lecture course and any suggestions for improvement next year.
