Men Competing in Triangular Contest Will give Arguments Tomorrow for Coolidge Prize of $100

The competition for the Coolidge Debating Prize of $100, which is open to members of the University Debating Teams, will be held tomorrow evening in the New Lecture Hall. This prize is awarded annually to the man who makes the best speech on the subject of the Intercollegiate Debate. The members of the teams will give their arguments as they will be given in the debate Friday night, so this prize competition will be the last practice before Friday.

Preparations for the debate are practically completed. Both teams have been picked: one is composed of R. S. Fanning Unc, P. R. Harmel '23, and C. W. Phelps '22; the other consists of S. A. Rosenblatt '22, W. S. Holbrook '21, and E. D. Hutchinson '22. A large attendance is expected at the debate, as the tickets have been selling rapidly. The subject, "Resolved: That the Employers of Labor Should Give Up the Principle of the Open Shop," makes the debate of much interest to labor men, and several of the unions in Boston have applied for large blocks of tickets.
