War-time social activities for the class of 1921 will begin next Monday night when the Freshmen will hold their annual smoker in the Living Room of the Union at 8 o'clock. This is the first of the Freshman festivities, and is to be followed by several other social events all conducted on an economical basis.
H. H. Faxon, class president, and J. A. Sessions, secretary-treasurer, will make short speeches, and J. M. Mitchell, chairman of the 1921 Liberty Loan Committee, will discuss the third bond issue. The chief feature of the evening's entertainment will be the moving picture film, "Headin' South," featuring Douglas Fairbanks, and a comic reel.
Music will be supplied by the Smith Halls Orchestra under the leadership of Isadore Straus '21, which will play selections of popular songs between the speeches and while the reels are being changed.
All members of the Freshman class, whether living in Cambridge or not, will be welcome.
