Manual for Commanders of Infantry Platoons, pp. 257-269. (This reading will be tested at lectures and on the final examination). April 20, 1918.
General Order No. 14:
1. Issue of Campaign Hats: Campaign hats will be issued at the Armory, April 22nd. First Battalion will report at 7 P. M. Second Battalion will report at 8 P. M. Third Battalion will report at 9 P. M.
Supply Sergeants will handle distribution to the Companies. Where a change has been made in Supply Sergeants the former Supply Sergeant will also be present. All men should be prepared to state immediately their hat sizes.
2. All cadets will be expected to familiarize themselves with the Organization of the Platoon, according to the new American Formations.
3. Formations on Tuesday at 2.30 P. M.: First Battalion will form on Garden street, this side of the Common, head resting opposite Appian Way. Second Battalion will form on Massachusetts avenue, facing south, head resting at Harvard Hall. Third Battalion will form on Massachusetts avenue, facing north, head resting at Massachusetts Hall. The Band will form east of the south end of University Hall. Color Guard will report at Headquarters.
4. Formation for Lecture: Companies will be formed for roll call at 7 P. M. at places designated by Company Commander, and march to seats in New Lecture Hall. First row of seats will be reserved for staff. Formation for lecture will be without arms. Notice of place where companies meet will be in CRIMSON and posted on bulletin board at Headquarters on Wednesday morning.
5. Men having classes on Tuesday and Thursday at 2.30 P. M. will report at 3.30 promptly, east of University Hall, for transportation to the trenches.
6. Formation on Thursday at 2.30 P. M.: The Second and Third Battalions, Band and Color Guard will form as on Tuesday. First Battalion will form on Boylston street, facing south, head resting at Charles River Road. Men of the First Battalion having classes at 2.30 will join their companies at the Stadium immediately after 3.30, reporting to the First Sergeant.

Special Order No. 18:
1. Members of Military Science are directed to call at Sergeant-Major's office Monday, April 22nd, to obtain copies of the Field Exercises for Tuesday, April 23rd.
2. Captain William M. Cole is hereby appointed supply officer, replacing Captain G. A. Brownell.
3. J. Mellen is appointed an instructor with relative rank of First Lieutenant, and is detailed to instruct squads reporting for voluntary drill.
4. H. Millet and H. W. Conover are hereby appointed Headquarters Orderlies.
