The Cercle Francais will give the first performance of its twenty-fifth annual play "La Double Belle-Mere" in Copley Hall, Boston, tomorrow evening at 8 o'clock. The other title of the play "Les surprises du divorce" represents its subject more accurately. In a very charming manner, it deals with the troubles of a temperamental young artist, Henri Duval, in ridding himself of his highly irritating mother-in-law, Madame Bonivard. To this end he sacrifices his wife, Diane, and marrying again, finds out to his extreme dismay, that the widowed father of his new wife, has brought back the disturbing element by marrying Diane. The extrication of all concerned from this dilemma is the final event of the play.
