Engineering Camp to Open June 24

The University Engineering Camp at Squam Lake, New Hampshire, will open this summer on Saturday, June 24, and will close Thursday, September 7. Men will leave for the camp June 24 on the 9 o'clock train from the North Station, Boston, to Ashland, N. H., and from there will reach the camp by boat, in time to begin work that day.

The following courses will be given at the camp: Engineering 4a, surveying; Engineering 4c hf., geodetic surveying; Engineering 4d, railroad engineering (first course); Engineering 4g, logging railroads; Engineering 5b hf., elementary statics; and Engineering 5e hf., elementary kinematics and kinetics. While at present the camp cannot definitely agree to provide other instruction than specified above, a demand for certain other courses from ten students will, when feasible, be met. Applications for courses not listed should be made not later than June 1.

The fee for these courses is $11 a week, except for Engineering 5b and 5e, for which the charge is $45 each. For the purpose of registration special cards have been provided, which can be obtained upon application to Pierce 114, where they are to be filed, property filled out either by mail or in person, on or before Wednesday, June 14. On that date all students who have not already registered and who desire to take courses at the camp may register at Pierce 110, between 9 and 2 o'clock. Notice of withdrawal must be given in writing and received by the director of the camp at the address given below not latter than Thursday, June 22 at 4 o'clock: otherwise students registered may become liable for the fee.
