Fischel is not a very fast fielder, nor a strong batter, but he has excellent spirit and is trying hard.
Bennett has not shown great ability, but, like Fischel, he is making every effort to improve his playing.
Of the outfielders, Blatterman is at present handicapped by sickness. He throws very well and may develop into a strong batter.
Pierce is fairly sure on flies and throwing, but his batting is weak and he needs to work harder and show more spirit.
Dana is inclined to get down on one knee in stopping grounders, instead of keeping his heels together. His throwing and sliding, which have been unsatisfactory, are now improving some. In batting he must break himself of the habit of pulling away from the plate.
Carpenter is not sure in fielding and does not show much improvement in batting.
