CLASS GAMES.

'97 Wins by a Score of 50 Points out of a Total of 126.

Yesterday afternoon the interclass track games and field events for the Wells Cup were held on Holmes Field. The entry list was large and the games were very successful in spite of the cold day and rather heavy track. The sprints and the hurdle races were run from east to west on account of the wind.

The Seniors won the games, scoring in all fifty points. '98 was second with thirty-five points, and '99 and 1900 scored thirty and eleven points respectively. The only new record was made by F. G. Shaw '97, who threw the hammer 127 ft. 3 in., thus raising the College record from 125 ft. 7 in.

The finals in the 100 yards dash were very close and exciting, and the judges could not decide on the place-winners for some time.

In the 440 and 880 yards runs, E. Hollister '97 had an easy time, although H. H. Fish '99 ran well in the quarter.

In the mile run, D. Grant '97 outclassed the other men, and in the last lap spurted beautifully and finished well ahead of the field.
