Department of French.Three performances of Racine's tragedy of "Athalie" will be given by the Department of French in Sanders Theatre on the evenings of December 6, 8 and 10.

A series of public lectures under the auspices of this Department will be given on successive Friday evenings in the Lecture Room of the Fogg Museum at 8 o'clock, on the following dates:

Oct. 15. Professor Bocher: The state of the French stage in Moliere's youth.

Oct. 22. Dr. Marcou: Are French poets poetical?

Oct. 29. Professor Davis: A sketch of the physical features of France.

Nov. 5. Mr. I. Babbitt: The Correspondence of George Sand.

Nov. 12. Professor Bocher: The French stage at the time of Moliere's return to Paris in 1658.
