The 'varsity football players were put, through a good afternoon's practice yesterday and the playing was fairly good. All of the men who played in Saturday's game except Manahan lined up for a full half hour. Emmons, Waters and Mackie coached during the latter part of the practice. Joe Sears, Bernie Trafford and Lewis were all coaching in their football suits and seemed to put life into the game. Very few of the men showed any signs of fatigue from the hard game with Cornell. Wrightington and Brewer made some long runs and scored several touchdowns, but Brewer's punting was not up to the standard and he failed in both attempts to drop a goal from the field. Whittemore's kicking was fairly good, but his attempts at dodging and running after a catch were very poor. Wrenn and Foster both played well at quarterback and there was little fumbling. Most of the gains were made around the ends and few attempts were directed against the line.
The new plan of having two training tables for the players is supposed to unify the first eleven, which will be added to from time to time and create an extra incentive for the other men to improve their play. There will probably be no game next Saturday and the management is trying to arrange a game for election day.
