The men are well up to the average freshman crew and physically they are much better than the freshman crews of the last few years. The principal faults of the crew are an unsteadiness at the full reach and an inclination to rush the slides. The men are also careless about carrying their oars back on the recover and taking them out squarely at the finish and they feather under the water. The crew will probably go on the river Friday or as soon as Davy finishes their new barge. The shell has not been ordered yet. On the first of April twelve of the men will be taken to the training table and they will be cut down to ten later on. The crew is by no means permanently decided on at present.
