The B. A. A. Games.

45 - YARD HURDLES.The 45 - yard hurdles, 3 feet 6 inches, 9 feet limit, was run in four heats of four men each, the winners and second men to start in the second round. The starters in the final heat were: B. Hurd, B. A. A., F. W. Lord, B. A. A., O. W. Shead, '93; and K. Brown, '93. The race was very exciting, the men clearing the hurdles almost at the same time. Shead ran an excellent race but was unable to catch Hurd who had a start of 2 feet winning by a little less than that distance. O. W. Shead, '93, second; and K. Brown, '93. Time, 6 2-5 sec.

RUNNING HIGH JUMP.The running high jump was easily won by W. F. Sweeney, X. A. C., scratch, 6 feet 2 1-2 inches; C. J. Paine, B. A. A. 6 inches, second, 6 feet 2 inches, S. A. McComber, B. U. A. A., 3 1-2 inches, third, 6 feet 1 1-2 inches.

ONE MILE RUN.In the one-mile run which was one of the most exciting events of the evening, ten men started with the full limit, 80 yards, and the 32 others were placed along the track at various starts. McLaughlin W. A. C., and Walsh, X. A. C. were the scratch men, each having five yards. The work of Walsh was magnificent. He in the eighth lap ran ahead for first place, and winning by two feet on Dowling, S. A. C., E. B. Dolan, B. U. A. A., third. Time, 4 min. 41 3-5 sec.

Appended is a table showing the prizes won by the different athletic associations and the total number of points, firsts counting five, seconds two and thirds one each.
