Fact and Rumor.

Michigan and Northwestern Universities seem desirous of dropping the University of Minnesota from the Northwestern League.

The students of the Boston University have entered into a compromise with the proctors to aid them in keeping order during certain hours if they can have more freedom during the rest of the time.

The Roxbury Latin School will give a set of games on the afternoon of Feb. 22. The open events are the running high jump and the forty yards dash. Entries close Feb. 14, and may be made with Mr. Lathrop.

The Boston base ball club has made arrangements with Manager Aldrich of the Brown University Club by which the latter organization will play in Boston on the afternoon of Fast Day and on the following days. On April 8 Boston will play Yale in New Haven.

The Brookline high school will give games open only to members of the school to take place in the upper Town Hall, Brookline, on Thursday evening, March 9. The events are: Twenty-yards dash, (for juniors); running high jump, standing high jump, standing high kick, pole vault, sack race, slow bicycle race, wrestling and potato race.
