Harvard plays the Boston Athletic Association today at 3.30 on Jarvis Field. For two years past Harvard has been scored against by this team, and will today try to retrieve her reputation. Two years ago the score was 51 to 12. Last year Harvard scored only one more touchdown than the B. A. A., the final score being 16 to 12.
It is a question whether the B. A. A. is as strong as usual, though only Saturday the eleven defeated the Crescent Athletic Club of Brooklyn 12 to 8. Several old players are on the eleven, and surely ought to be no weaker than last year.
On another account the game will be interesting because the two captains are brothers.
There will be the usual large election day crowd at the game.
The only other game before the Yale game will be with the Volunteers of New York, on Saturday. This team is made up mostly of college graduates.
Today the elevens will line up as follows:
HARVARD. B. A. A.
Emmons, left end, Wardner.
Manahan, left tackle, Ware.
Acton, left guard, Whitman.
Lewis, centre, Hastings.
Mackie, right guard, Fay.
Newell, right tackle, Waters.
Blanchard, right end, Whittren.
Fairchild, quarterback, Belfield.
