Harvard 141; Brockton 101.

The cricket eleven opened their season on Saturday with a creditable victory over Brockton. The team contained four new men, and did not make a strong showing in the field; but their game was redeemed by the fine bowling of C. Skinner and the steady batting of Quinby, Sullivan and Garrett. The Brockton team were weak at the bat with the exception of Hunter who drove the ball to the boundaries repeatedly for 13 and 37 runs. The score:
