Fact and Rumor.

Hereafter regular seats will be assigned for the English A lectures on English Literature, and the attendance taken.

The roof of the new Yale gymnasium is to be entirely of glass. It will be the second largest roof of the kind in the country.

Professor W. W. Goodwin, of Harvard is to give an interesting illustrated lecture on "The Ruins of Troy," in Harvard Hall tomorrow evening. It will be open the public.

One afternoon's trial was enough to convince the cricketers that Norton's field is utterly unfit for their purposes. As it is impossible to sod it, the candidates will practice on the upper ends of Holmes and Jarvis, as they did last year.

The Yale 'varsity crew has been rowing lately as follows: Stroke, Simms, M. S.; 7, Hagerman, L. S.; 6, Ely '91; 5, Heffelfinger '91 S.; 4, Paine '94; 3, Graves '92 S.; 2, Crosby '92; bow, Balliet '92. Hull '83, Cowles '86, and Isham '91, have been coaching them.
