Merrill Shurtluff '92 has been elected captain of the Dartmouth base ball team. John Ward will coach the team this winter.

The N. E. Intercollegiate Athletic Association will probably give up the tug-of-war and the bicycle race in all future meetings.

The contest for the boxing championship of New England will be held Dec. 10 in Bumstead Hall, and Dec. 12 in Music Hall, Boston.

American colleges derive about two-fifths of their income from students, while English universities get only one tenth from the same source.- Ex.
