MONDERN LANGUAGE CONFERENCE.In order to promote advanced study and research in the modern languages and literatures, the departments of English, German, French, and Romance Philology have decided to establish a Modern Language Conference. The first meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 14, at 4 p. m., in Sever 11.

ENGLISH B.A talk on the Elective Courses in English will be given in Sever 11 on Tuesday, May 13, at 2 o'clock.

Theme XII. Will be due on Tuesday, May 20. The choice of subject is left to the writers.

Themes are to be deposited in the wooden box outside of Grays 18, not later than 4 o'clock. By the regulations no overdue theme will be accepted unless the writer satisfies the secretary that his failure to present it at the appointed time was caused by serious illness or other unavoidable hindrance.

Every student is required to follow implicitly the directions in regard to paper, folding, endorsing etc., given in the printed rules of the course.

COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS AND BENEFICIARY AID.Wednesday, May 28, is the last day for receiving applications from undergraduates for College Scholarships and aid from the Beneficiary Fund.

HARVARD Y. M. C. A.Mr. Thomas E. Besolow, a native of the Gold Coast, West Africa, will speak at the rooms of the Young Men's Christian Association, in the Lawrence Scientific School, at 4 p. m. on Sunday, May 11. All members of the University are invited.
