The freshmen played their first regular game Saturday against Technology '93. The game was rather interesting with the exception of the first inning which was wretchedly played by both sides. Technology lead in the third inning, 6 to 4. In the fourth they made another run but the freshmen tied the score in their half and in the next inning took the lead and held it by good batting. For the freshmen Merriam led at the bat and Hallowell played a very pretty game at left field. The feature of the game was the double play in the fourth inning by Hallowell and Frothingham. In the eighth inning Dolan and Flynn changed positions. Towards the latter part of the game it grew so dark that good fielding was an impossibility on either side. The score was:
