Fact and Rumor.

The complete works of the authors of whom Professor Hill will treat in his lectures to the freshmen have been placed in the English alcove of the library.

A private announcement was made yesterday of the lowest marks in German 1a. There will be an announcement of all the marks in the recitation today.

The freshman Glee and Banjo clubs have been granted permission by the faculty to give a concert at Winchendon some time during the first week of March.

The executive committee of the Harvard Union for the present half year is constituted as follows: C. P. Blainey, chairman ex-officio; H. Hudson, '91, S. C. Brackett, '91, C. T. R. Bates, '92, and a freshman member to be chosen.

Hereafter the exercise books in Math. E. will be called for every Friday and returned the following Monday. Hour examinations will take place at short intervals during the rest of the year. The final marks will depend greatly on the exercise books and hour examinations.

Work on the new shooting house of the Shooting club on the Allston marshes has been begun. The house will be finished by Saturday. It was decided at the meeting in Holden chapel Monday night to raise the money needed by subscription instead of by an assessment.
