The averages of the measurements of the Yale freshmen have been taken. The age is 18 years, 1 month; the weight, 135 pounds; and the height, 5 feet, 7.5 inches.
Professor Channing will hold a seminar in History I on Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 29. The divisions will meet as follows: A to Frothingham at 2, Furber to Porter at 3, Post to Z at 4.
Mr. Carpenter will be in Sever 5 tomorrow from 9 to 12, to answer any questions about English A. Both Mr. Wendell and Mr. Carpenter will also be at Grays 18 from 2 to 4 today, and from 10 to 4 on Thursday.
The mid year examination in German A will cover all the work the class has gone over. It will consist mostly of translation from the books read. There will be no translation of English into German, but the class will be held responsible for the German poems which have been committed to memory.
The regular annual meeting of the college baseball league has been held held in New York. Delegates from Princeton and Yale were present. Mr. Tilney was elected chairman. Harvard's resignation was read and accepted. The chair ruled that under the constitution, this action dissolved the league.
