The concerts given by the Apollo Glee and Banjo clubs of Yale in and about Boston during the recess were hardly up to the standard of such college organizations.

Members of Political Economy 1, who mean to attend Professor Taussig's lectures will have to be in the room promptly, as the door will be closed at five minutes after nine o'clock.

At the meeting of the board of trustees of Columbia college last Monday, a committee was appointed to consider nominations for a successor to President Barnard, who resigned last June.

Investigation proves that the CRIMSON was misinformed in regard to Mr. Hayes' course in elocution. It will be a half course for the rest of the year and not a full course as before reported.

A. T. Dudley, '87, gymnasium instructor at Exeter, is spoken of by the Boston Herald as one of the ablest and most successful of all those who have charge of the preparatory school gymnasiums throughout the country.

The cage for the University of Pennsylvania base ball team which was to have been completed during the holidays, was found at the last minute to come under the law which forbids the erection of wooden structures within the city limits, and it is, therefore, necessary to wait until a permit to build can be secured from the Department of Public Safety. No difficulty is expected in this respect, as there are no building near at hand, and the structure itself is not an extensive one.
