The Mott Haven cup has been won by Princeton once and by Yale once; by Columbia three years in succession; by Harvard eight times, seven years in succession between 1880 and 1886.
In the five annual lawn tennis championship tournaments, Yale has won five first places and three seconds; Harvard, four first places; Trinity, one first place and four seconds; Columbia, two seconds, and Amherst one second.
Finally, in all the different contests in every athletic department, Yale has, since 1876, won 22 championships; Harvard, 16; Princeton, 3; Columbia, 3, and Trinity, 1.
