Fact and Rumor.

The Columbia crew is said to be rowing in fine form at New London, and is confident of a victory over our 'Varsity. The freshmen, also, are said to have a powerful crew, and will give our freshmen a close rub.

At a meeting held recently at Yale, the following men were elected officers of the Yale Foot-ball Club for next year: President, G. M. Gill, '87; vice-president, G. R. Carter, '88; treasurer, Harry Reed, '89; secretary, C. O. Gill, '89. The receipts for the season were $3359; expenses, $3017; balance on hand, $342.

Prof. F. G. Peabody, will conduct chapel services upon the mornings from Tuesday to Friday inclusive, of the present week. He has also announced that he will be "at home" in Wadsworth every evening during that time, to receive those seniors who would like to consult with him or to meet any others.
