Viau, the Dartmouth College pitcher, now of the St. Pauls, pitched against the Detroits, April 19, and had he been properly supported would have downed the great hitters who finally won, 10 to 9. Viau succeeded in striking out Richardson twice.

It is rumored that the agricultural improvements of the grounds will be continued by the planting of a pasture of potatoes around the statue of John Harvard, and that the tennis courts in Jarvis, being in danger of becoming sterile, will be sown with fodder-corns.

It is related that several days since, as one of the '90 ladies from Sage was slowly walking up from town, she was met by several young men, who noticed that she carried a package concealed under her cloak, and as they passed her, she by accident let fall the package.
