HARVARD NATURAL HISTORY SOCIETY.An illustrated lecture upon "Recent Discoveries in Glacial Geology" will be delivered by Professor G. F. Wright of Washington in Boylston Hall Lecture Room, Monday, December 19, at 7.30 p. m.

ENGLISH B.Theme III. will be returned to the class on Tuesday, Dec. 13, from 2 until 3.30 o'clock, as follows: A-M in Sever 11; the rest in Sever 1.

Theme V. will be due on December 20. Subject: A Narrative.

Themes VI. and VII. in January.

At the pleasure of the writer, Themes V. and VI.,-both narrative-may be continuous; or they may be combined in one theme of at least ten pages, to be handed in on December 20.

The attention of students is specially called to the directions of the English Composition card. Each student is held responsible for a knowledge of those directions, and is expected to follow them implicitly.

By the regulations, no overdue theme will be accepted, unless the writer satisfies the secretary that his failure to present it at the time was caused by serious illness or other unavoidable hindrance. Overdue themes, countersigned by the secretary, may be left at Grays 18. In no case must themes be put in the box in Sever 3 after the day on which they are due.

MISCELLANEOUS.The Botanic Garden is open Sundays as well as weekdays.

The Library in Gore Hall is open Sundays during term-time from 1 p. m. till sunset for members of the University only.
