Tickets for the Dickens reading on November 1 are now on sale at Leavitt and Peirce's. Harvard students may procure the best seats in the hall at half rates.
The broad jump contest postponed from the freshman meeting was won by R. S. Hale with a jump of 18 ft. 10 in. Mason was second.
The second eleven at Princeton is called the "scrub" and positions on it are eagerly sought. It goes to a training table and is to receive football costumes.
Billings, '84, F. H. Gray, '87, Sheffield, R. G., Smalley, R. G. and Henderson, R. G. were made honorary members at the Historial Society, last evening. B. W. Palmer was elected librarian.
The action of the Harvard seniors in passing a resolution deeming it inadvisable to row Columbia before the Yale-Harvard race was ungenerous and unfair. The matter will be more fully discussed in our next issue.- Columbia Spectator.
