Mr. Savage, captain of the Princeton eleven, complains of the lethargy existing among the students of the college as being most detrimental to the interests of the eleven.
In the class rush between the freshman and sophomore classes at the Troy Polytechnic, the cane was carried off by the victorious freshmen amid the cheers of the upperclassmen.
Mr. Lathrop will be on the track daily, from 11.30 to 12.30. Freshmen and others intending to take part in the athletic meeting this fall may meet him at these hours.
The official directory of students will be published the last of this week. All students who have not yet left their addresses at the office are urged to do so to-day in order that the list may be as complete as possible.
The Political Economy Department has arranged to make a reference room of U, 14 for the members of the different Political Economy courses. Several hundred volumes will be placed here and the room will be lighted during the winter afternoons and evenings, making the books even more available here than at the library, where, however, another set of reference books will be kept.
