The price of board at Memorial for the month of May was $4.05 per week. The price for the term, which will be charged on the terms bill, is $4.10. This makes the average price for the year $4.00, which may be regarded as the normal price.

The new optional system at Yale is admitted by all students to be a great improvement over the old system, but still some improvements are demanded, especially by '87. It is probable that the hours for each optional will be announced before the choices are made, so that difficulty will be done away with.

Higginson, 310; Nathaniel Thayer, '71, 306; Moses Williams, '68, 299. These twelve candidates will be voted for to fill the six vacancies to be filled at the election commencement day.
