The junior class at Amherst attempted to have a junior promenade, but the faculty interfered, and the class was compelled to give up the project.
Mr. William M. Derby, the president of the Yale University Gun Club, has been invited to attend the dinner of the Harvard Shooting Club, on Friday.
Fast day comes this year on April 2nd, and as Easter Sunday comes the week following, students will be enabled to be at home during the Easter vacations.
On account of the dissatisfaction with Fresh Pond water at Memorial Hall, the steward is now buying Everett Spring water. About two barrels are used every day.

Mr. J. M. Merriam, '86, has been elected a regular editor of the CRIMSON, and Mr. E. J. Rich, '87, has been elected managing editor, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of J. A. Frye, '86.
