Fact and Rumor.

An excellent communication from N. G. on the foot ball question was crowded out from this morning's issue. N. G. should be present and speak at the hearing this evening.

Men who attained proficiency in any special event, and those who would like to lead squads in the gymnasium work during the winter, are requested to meet at Dr. Sargent's room in Hemenway Gymnasium, at 3 P. M.

The roughest game of the season was undoubtedly the Univ. of Pennsylvania-Wesleyan game on last Thursday morning. The Athletic Committee attended both this game and the Yale-Princeton game.

Columbia is now indulging in correspondence games of chess with Cornell and Princeton. The Columbia chess Club is in a very flourishing condition, and rejoices in an unbroken series of victories over other clubs. It expects to hold a handicap tournament for prizes this winter.

McGill University, Montreal, which has already received $50,000 from the Hon. Donald A. Smith, for its medical department, has received another $50,000 for the establishment of a woman's college in affiliation with the university.- [Ex.

As the time is so short, and the game of foot ball, properly played, a good one, we may venture to suggest to the students that the proper way for them to contest the case is to request from the committee specifications of the charges, or the evidence on which they are based.-N. Y. Post.
