FACT AND RUMOR.

The Advertiser estimates the distance by which Columbia was defeated in Wednesday's race as twenty-three lengths.

All mail delivered in rooms which remain open class day will be left on the mantels of the rooms, unless other orders are left with the postman.

Students desiring to re-engage their gymnasium lockers for next year are requested to do so at once. After July 1st lockers will be let to the first applicant.

Those members of the H. P. C. who wish to have rooms in Sever Hall reserved for their guests, must bring their society shingles to No. 1 Grays before nine o'clock.

The class window of the class of '80 is being placed in position on the north side of Memorial. The figure of Virgil is already in position and that of Homer will be in place by commencement day.

The bust of Gen. Bartlett has been moved from its position on the south side of Memorial Hall to the north side. The change is a great improvement, as, in its former position, the head was turned so as almost to face the wall.

In the tennis tournament between the Longwood and Young America clubs yesterday, Dwight (Longwood) defeated C. M. Clark (Young America) by a score of 5-6, 6-3, 6-0, and J. S. Clark (Young America) beat Sears (Longwood) 6-5, 6-4 in the singles. In the doubles, J. S. and C. M. Clark (Young America) defeated Dwight and Sears (Longwood) by a score of 6-3, 6-4, 6-8 and 9-7.
