Mr. Morison, '83, was awarded the prize for general excellence, with a record of 40 1/2 points out of a possible 60. Morison's work was done neatly and gracefully throughout.

It is said that six instructors are to be dismissed at the end of the current year, in order to curtail the expenses of the college. The Boston Herald, after investigation, denies the report.

At the meeting in the gymnasium this evening the programme will be the same as that of Saturday, with a few changes. The prize for general excellence in sparring will be awarded, and Page and Lee will spar for the middle-weight.

The funeral services of Henry W. Longfellow were held at the old home on Brattle street yesterday afternoon. The body was interred in Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Memorial services were held in the College Chapel, Rev. F. G. Peabody and Prof. Everett officiating.
