THE first lecture in the course under the auspices of the Finance Club will be given by Col. T. W. Higginson next Tuesday evening, in Boylston Hall. Subject: "Young Men in Politics."
A MOVEMENT is on foot among the New England colleges to have, as near as possible, uniformity in the requisition for admission. This is done for the benefit of the fitting schools.
THE Secretary of the Freshman Nine has received a challenge from the Secretary of the Yale Freshman Nine to play a series of three games, the first at New Haven, the second at Harvard, and the third (if necessary) on neutral grounds.
THE annual Crimson dinner took place at Young's Hotel on Feb. 14, and passed off very pleasantly. About thirty gentlemen were present, including several contributors, past editors, and representatives of the leading athletic organizations.
UP to Feb. 15, the amount subscribed to the University Crew was $2,480; the amount collected, $1,227. Several hundred more dollars will be required to meet the expenses this year.

THE Columbia freshman crew are hard at work, and mean to beat our Freshmen if it is possible; they row 700 strokes on the machines daily, and occupy an hour in running and general gymnastics.
