THE Volante, University of Chicago, has some doubt as to how to write our address; it hesitated between "Harvard, Mass." and "Harvard Institute, Cam., Mass.," but finally chose the latter. We ourselves would be contented with the simple "Cam., Mass."
The Penn. Magazine has a new spelling for us, "Howard." We suppose it is some cockney pronunciation for Harvard, and that the Penn. has taken up the phonetic method.
AT Dartmouth the students seem not to have appreciated Fast Day. "Fast Day came and went as such days usually do, devoted to odd jobs and various time-killing expedients. Quite a number went to Lebanon to attend the services of the Methodist Conference, and meetings were held in the vestry here at the usual hours. But the majority seemed to be employed in getting over the effects of the entertainment of the night before."
